Seasonal availability
Our farm is located in Balhannah, in the Adelaide Hills at an elevation of over 420 meters, with all our flowers and foliage grown outdoors. Product availability is consistent but subject to change due to climatic variations in temperature, sun and rain.
We refer to our growing season commencing in late summer/early autumn when our Protea have their first blooms, availability usually peaks in the winter months, and we round out the season with a flourish of Australian varieties in spring, before tapering off in summer when we concentrate on property maintenance.
Autumn
March-May
Autumn marks the true beginning of our year on the farm. As temperatures soften, harvesting work commences and the season opens with Protea Pink Ice, the first bloom to signal what’s ahead.
